FOCUS 11 Vocations Rally

The FOCUS 11 program was first introduced in the Archdiocese of Detroit in 1989.  It was based on several studies which showed that many priests and religious first thought about ministry at age 11 and then had the thought reinforced in high school in 11th grade.  Thus, the concept of FOCUS 11 was born and these annual rallies have spread throughout the country and in the Archdiocese of Miami.  

FOCUS 11 will be a field trip lasting about 4 hours during the school day.  This event provides our Catholic School 6th grade students from throughout the Archdiocese with information about the many ways to serve the Church in ordained or consecrated ministry.  It will allow them to interact with priests and religious from the Archdiocese and various religious orders, and invites them to prayerfully consider their own vocation – all in a fun and dynamic program of music, activities, fellowship and prayer.
